There are times when I'm wishing for a larger tractor, usually when moving gravel or trying to pull stumps/haul big logs.

There are times when I'd really like a smaller tractor, like when I'm scooping mulch or running around on the yard picking this years crop of rocks.

There are times when I simply want another tractor, like when I'm using the cart and would like to use the FEL.

This is why I need three more tractors. Help me convince the bank?

I've got:

1) Kioti NX5510CH
2) Kubota B7800
3) Husky riding mower (can't recall model, but it's got a 24hp Kawasaki engine)

Riding mower is used for front "yard" (septic- don't want to run anything heavy)

B7800 was our first tractor. This thing is a Swiss Army Knife. Highly manoeuvrable, bullet proof and a MAJOR workhorse. I use it to work in tight places (my Kioti is new and I'm not quite using it to its full potential- too wet for mowing with it due to its weight). Here's a picture of it working in a tight space (dismantling a shed):

If you get a subcompact, such as Kubota BX, you'll soon wonder how you ever got along without it. I bought my BX23 for a specific task with the intent of selling it when the task was finished. But I fell in love with it and don't intend to ever sell it. The backhoe gets used frequently for things that any other tool wouldn't do nearly as well.

A subcompact of any color can pay for itself just as a motorized wheel barrow if nothing else. I use mine all the time to haul rocks, wood, trimmings, trash, etc.

In fact, when my son needed a tractor at his place, I bought a BX2660 so we could both have one. So I have a BX2660 and a BX23 that we share.

I also have a Scag V-Ride mower for the yard. I have mowed the yard with the belly mower on the BX2660, but the zero turn does it MUCH faster.

If you note the tractors under my user name,

The Bolens is definitely a Sub sub compact. Even at 23 HP it's still just a garden tractor.

The Hurlimann, at 35 HP is in the compact tractor list, and fitted with a loader is a mighty handy piece of equipment.

The Fordson , though only 25 HP , those are REAL draught horses at work, With 2 tons of iron, it carries the day for hard pulls like tree stumps and soggy snow plowing.

Guess which gets used the most????

The Bolens!
Blade , Blower, rake, or utility wagon, The "little guy" gets it done on a small property.

So yes, A small tractor has it's value!
