Is drought dropping tractor prices in your area?

i dont pay attention to what incentives kubota offers.as i price tractors when the need arises.priced 2 new kubotas 3wks ago.1 was a 105 cab 4x4 fel with hydro tranny for $55,000 the other was a 108 cab 4x4 fel hydro tranny for $63,000 new.buddy ended up getting a 2008 105 cab 4x4 no loader hydro tranny with a bad hydrolic pump with 1600hrs for $22,500.

What's your point other than you price tractors?

well i price tractors about like you buy them get tired of them an trade emm.an i swing alot of deals for friends when they buy tractors or equipment.the dealers i use know i dont play ph or price tag.when i say get to the bottom they do it without argueing.but in all fairness ive been doing this since i was kid.

These theorys run through TBN every fall and winter that now that no one is buying and they are building up on lots and no one is going to buy in the winter and overhead keeps building up and dealers will do deep discounts and maybe give them away. Hasn't happened yet but maybe will this year :cool2:

Dead on. Incentives, more than season drive pricing. It just so happens that right now incentives are very good, especialy on BX, B, L, M. Better than spring even when they usually pull out the big guns.

Why would that be? Clearing out old models before new substantial changes in the Spring? Weak market globally? Seems weird to have better deals in the fall than the spring....

Could it be back to the "Farmer" life that crops are cashed in at Fall and money is available for buying whereas cash is low after the hard no income producing winter? Get em when they got the money!!!!
Or it could just be the financial analytical experience shows what marketing programs produce a more constant/even flow of sales which is always the "best" situation for manufacturing?

Today, I bought a new Kubota L4600 4X4, upgraded quick attach bucket, loaded Ag tires, $22500 w/o tax. I consider thr price, excellent! The saleman did tell me that Kubota has a 17% price increase the first of the year, but I've not found any information on that. My tractor will be delivered this Monday. I expect it will be a vast improvement over my old Massey M245, which was an excellent tractor.

um... If this model was going to Tier 4 that would probably be the case, but I don't believe it is. Only the GL40 tractors will take that hit... not the standards.
