...does the new L40 series look funny? From the front, the things look like they're pi**ed off about something. I've already got enough attitude for two or three people; don't need a tractor getting into the act.

Speaking of P-O'd, I imagine the owner will go down that road when it's time to replace one of those fancy headlight lenses. I thought NH took the silliness cake with their 'Alien' look; now Kubota has to try and outdo them.

The L2800/3400/4400 series get my vote for looking like a tractor should (without being a Johnny Popper, that is) :)

Yeah, I know....totally useless, waste-of-time thread. What can I say; it's raining & blowing outside...terrible weather.

I agree. And did you see the early photos on the Kubota website where an M9540 cab with a grapple is trying to eat an L40? Pretty entertaining, and a harbinger of things to come.

My guess is that they are catering to the psuedofarmer suburbanites. I wonder if these newbies will trade tractors every 3 years like they do their cars. Got to always have the latest, greatest. hurump!

I bet 4-5 years ago, on TBN, somebody posted: "Have you seen the new L30? What's up with those headlights? And what's up with that futuristic look?

It's just progression bro, everything changes. Kubota is going somewhere with it, they are probably phasing in a prototype look that will hit the street in a few years and doing it gradually :)

If I wanted a machine that looked that it would go 150 mph I would build another funny car that could do 199 mph with a MMM .
Hmm!
Regards.

Of course the new L40 series looks funny.....clearly the previous series (which I own) is far superior looking.:D :D Thanks Kubota, looks like I won't need to trade in my machine anytime soon.

And ,yes, I too am enjoying possibly the nastiest weather day of the year in upstate New York. Think spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As long as it works. From with function. As to the headlight breaking, that's what a brush guard is for.

Well, no offense meant, Rich. I'm sure you'll be tickled pink by the 4240. I know I would be. If it's a Kubota, it'll be 100% functional....from the radiator back at least :)

If that mean lookin' front manages to scare critters out of the grass before they get hit with the bush hog; maybe there really is a reason for it.
