The other day, I stopped by the dealer I bought my 2012 Yanmar EX3200 from when I saw he still had a 2014 Yanmar LX4100 with a FEL sitting on his lot. I found it odd to see it still sitting there by itself knowing he got it in April along with 2 LX4500's and 2 LX4900's so I asked why he hadn't sold it yet and he said everyone seems to prefer either the 4500 or a 4900, all 4 of which he sold in the spring and early summer.
So, I checked it out up close and like how the 4100 is bigger, longer, higher, and wider than the 3200 I have with a few more hp under the hood. I asked what he wanted for it and how much would he give me for my EX3200 on trade and he said my EX3200 with a FEL and 220 hrs on it was worth $15,000 on a trade and I'd owe him $11,000 cash. The area I mow is somewhat hilly and my 3200 handles it ok but the wider stance of the 4100 seems like it would handle the mowing a lot better. But, I don't know if it's really worth the bucks.
So, what do you folks think? Should I stick with what I have or make the trade and upgrade? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
