I bought a used 4130. It has not been gently used. Most of the retention pins are replaced with nuts and bolts or bent nails. Not clear when the thing was lubricated; but not withing recent history I suspect. The support around the steering wheel is solid duct tape. But the pieces that most need attention are the pieces that interface the tractor hydraulic arms to the loader.

They are badly bent up and are bent up away from the loader. The loader is also bent somewhat where these attachments are made. I am attaching a few pictures of the area. I have no idea what replacement parts would cost at this point. As things are now, I can not get the loader to actually be level with the tractor. It hangs at a significant slant.

Is it feasible (e.g., make sense) to try to straighten the bent pieces? It would seem to need some hydraulic jacks or something. I would probably try to find someplace to take it for the work. Or maybe buy some tools from Harbor Freight.

I am concerned that if I took the pieces somewhere, they might use a torch to heat the metal before bending. Would that heating ruin the characteristics of the steel?

I am not being successful in attaching the photos.

Thanks aczlan. I was not using the "upload" button. That might be more intuitive if it said attach or complete attachment.

It depends on you and where you want to go with this tractor. You talk of the condition of the rest of the tractor and do you want to make it perfect?

It would be great that you got this unit for a lower price then one that needs nothing and is in pristine condition. If you need a pristine unit you should just find one!

Given a few dollars probably 800 plus you could replace these pieces. You will know better when you price the parts which you can do on line!

Does it hinder performance? Could you leave it the way that it is and still use it? Save it for the next owner? I think I'd stay with rusty but trusty!

Do you have photos of the rest of the tractor... see what the rest of it looks like. Bucket for starters  Might find more problems too.

Art - no it is not, in my opinion, usable without fixing this. It distorts the loader. It is not possible for it to be level. I am not trying for pristine or I would not have bought this one. Just functional.

I can take some more pictures. I am working on getting it lubed. I have done the "easy" ones. I need a 90 degree fitting and there a couple of broken off zerks. Going to replace the bent nails and bolts with correct pins.

I also wrote down the info on the hydraulic fluid and diesel oil that Costco is selling and see how people feel about it. But of course, I seem to have thrown the piece of paper away. There are stickers showing recent servicing of fluids, but the guy was lieing about most everything so I don't trust the stickers. The fuel filter was a water logged mess.

Unless you purchase new parts, I would use a torch and a press to straighten then. You want to use a torch because cold working them will make them brittle. For a loader, bending under load is better than breaking.

I need to figure out the part number for that piece so I can look for parts.

I was thinking maybe a blacksmith might handle the bending.

I see nothing in the three pics that can't be heated and straightened by a local smith or welding shop. Likely the bending took place when the cotter keys came out of the pins and the wrist pins came out. Has seen some heavy use, but some tender care and paint will fix it up.
Is it the 430 loader?

Deere sells the right fluids. Also sells the FEL parts you might want to pick up, if the blacksmith doesn't work out.

According to jdparts, the left hand bracket (holder) is AW2607. The right hand is AW2606

It looks to me like that tractor could have been rolled while the loader was elevated. Do you have any idea what happened to it? What other signs of damage are there?
