is the 2019 Ford Transit Connect coming in diesel as a standard?

For an added degree of performance, a direct-injected 1.5L I-4 EcoBlueｮ Diesel is also available on Transit Connect (and standard on short-wheelbase passenger wagons). ​

I hadn't heard that before, do y'all think it's a typo?

/edit - after further searching it appears to be true.
Any words good or bad about that engine?

Well I called 3 dealers, first one had not heard anything about it, second one was voice mail, third looked it up and gave me a tentative list price (MSRP $27,100). He was surprised to see it came standard in diesel. But said it was showing as not available to order right off. Something about it would be a second production run and may I not see a vehicle for a year.

I believe that Ford makes more diesels than any automaker in the world. I would not be afraid to buy it. The only question is will the techs be trained properly.
