My back is not what it used to be and this thing will beat you to death. Ive adjusted it multiple different ways-Raise/lower back, set tension weight. The problem seems to be travel, so that in itself may limit options as a better seat may be taller. Has anyone upgraded their seat? This seat is more like my bobcat ztr which is still a bit better, but I need something more along the lines of my 4345 massey or case 580.

I was in rural king and they had something called 'black talon' I think. Not sure if it comes with suspension or if its even better.

The Grand L models and the new M5 models have an air-suspension seat option. That's probably dealer installed, so one might be orderable separately. I don't know if it would in any way be compatible with the swivel setup on your M62.

Also, there are a couple of fellows here on TBN who added a Grammer air seat to their L5740's a couple of years ago (TripleR and 4Shorts). You might do a search for the threads where it was discussed... I remember seeing pictures of the modifications needed. While I haven't seen their posts here for a while, they might respond to a request for more information. Again, your swivel seat may be a whole different ball game.

We’ve had the same issues, from what saw the seat was in an upright or more forward position (this is on the M62). So we removed the metal where the seat rests on & it allowed the seat to recline about 5-10° more than before which was more like the Komatsu we had at the time. If you have another piece of equipment park it side by side & look at the seats. What I’m saying will make more sense if you do that....

Yea, removed the 2 rubber bushings on both my m62 and m59 to combat that incline that makes you feel like you going to slide out. Plus, I did not realize the backs are adjustable. They have about 3 of adjustable recline and that helped a little by bringing the back forward. But I think it all comes down to the amount of travel in the suspension. I made some calls with not much luck but I am going to do some measuring and see if jd or case backhoe seats won't be too tall. Like was posted above all the aftermarket seat don't have the swivel.

I got the air ride seat option in my new L4060. I brlieve its just a Granmar. Not cheap, but I think its worth it. I'd expect its a reasonably standard bolt pattern.

I removed the 2 square spacers and put rubber bushing back in .What a difference! It is angled so that you put weight on the back of your thighs. I adjusted the back all the way up and it sits great. I have to use it tomorrow all day so we will see. The pics are of the 2 spacers, and a pic of the bolt you loosen to adjust the back up and down just in case there is someone like me that owns a machine (m59) and does not realize there is adjustment. It is one bolt on the right side.

Thanks for this. M59 seat is killing me lately for some reason. Which bolt is it there? (edit: nevermind I see) And did you like the mod?

Mine might might be simply worn out after a 1000 hours I guess
