Does really exist? You'd think that the president would post an anoucement or participate in the questions asked about CTOA here??

Is it time for a new site? Maybe John would be intrested in hosting a message forum, if folks would be willing to kick in for the cost of hosting?

Come on guys, the CTOA isn't like TBN. Muhammad owns the servers here and fixes them when they go down. CTOA pays Worldcrossing to host the site and the problems are out of their control. I agree that maybe the owner should post something on their homepage to let us know what's going on but maybe Worldcrossing is keeping him in the dark with the rest of us.

CTOA is a free site to members and for the most part Hal has footed the bill to pay for it, he's only requested money once that I can remember. Most everyone I talk to who knows anything about Chinese tractors also knows about the CTOA. I think those of us who visit there owe Hal Mandelman a little more loyalty than to jump ship due to server problems.

If you are having chinese tractor withdraw here are some solutions:

* post here at TBN
* post at China Importer's Discussion Board
* front the money and start your own discussion board

just my 2 cents worth

Don't worry, I have no plans to create any discussion board, at this time. In fact, if costs keep going up, I will end up donating JohnsTractor website to whoever wants to maintain it. While I have considered donations and such, don't want to go there. Expectations become much more for a paying site. For now, its something I enjoy doing, when I have the time. If WorldCrossing never comes back up, and Hal doesn't host CTOA on another service, and someone else takes the task on, I will add a link on the main page.

PS: WorldCrossing is one of the last free forum hosts, as far as I know.
