Is There A Missing Thread?

ToolcatWonka5610's post about buying a 1430 and trailer package triggered a memory of a certain thread. Now I can't find it.

It was about buying a machine with a trailer package for commercial use that the OP claimed was not road legal. IIRC, he said it was over grossed when everything was loaded onto it. I thought I would look the thread up and see if it was something that should be referred to ToolcatWonka5610. Despite a dozen searches of the PT forum with various combos of "trailer" and other appropriate terms, I can't find it.

I don't remember which machine was involved, just that it was not anything green.

Anyone else remember the thread?

Isn't the 1430 Trailer Package only 7,000lbs gross? I'm going try and find that. Thanks for posting that.

Personally, I would never consider buying a single purpose trailer like that. It is too limiting. A general purpose utility trailer lets you haul whatever you want to haul, not what PT thinks you should haul.

Hmmm... I do not recall any posts on TBN regarding an over grossed PT trailer package.

Maybe I saw it somewhere else, but I'm almost certain it was here. IIRC, the over grossed bit was only part of the thread. I think the buyer was a commercial user who was really upset about his purchase and how he was treated, coming down very hard on Power Trac.

I think the thread was removed. Do M. and company remove threads they believe to be libelous?

Libelous threads, or manufacturer/dealer bashing, might result in a thread being removed, but I don't remember any such thread on TBN in the past.

Well, durn it, now it's really bugging me. I don't know where else I could have seen it. There just isn't much of a Power Trac discussion anywhere else.

I think I recall a remark in a thread to the effect that a fully loaded PT trailer was over gross or that the purchaser wanted to add an attachment but that would put the trailer over gross.
