I am just looking through my manual seeing what type of maintanence is due, and I'm at my 600 hr service. It looks like there are quite a few fluids and filters to change. I was wondering if Kubota offers a kit to buy, like say a "600 hour kit"? Or would that be too easy? :D
If not, I'll just go through my manual and make a list of things I need, and buy that way. I prefer to buy online, so is Messicks the best source? I live in MA if that makes a difference.

In the mean time, I'll look around to see if I can find any threads on 600hr service.

I call my dealer and and ask the parts guy for all the oil and filters for an oil change and hydro change. Its all there in a box when I get to the dealer. I'm sure Messick's would do the same for you. Nearest Polaris dealer to me is 50 miles away. I call them and have them "kit" stuff for me when I service my Sportsman.

Most dealer can put the parts together if you let them know the model and hours...

I think my parts guy prefers to do it this way. It gives him time to get the "kit" ready during the slow times at his shop. Sometimes during the summer months there is a long line at the parts counter. When its my turn in line I give him my name and he just pops a box up from underneath the counter. The five gallon buckets of hydro oil are right next to the door and I grab one on the way out. Five minutes max except for the for the extra 45 minutes I spend gawking at all the new tractors and equipment on the lot.

Hi There are people on e-bay who sell filter kits just not the fluid. I think 3 yrs ago got enough Kub branded filters to do my bx-23 till 1k hrs for $100 with some extra purchase of filters. Fluid is heavey so $ shipping

Messicks web site has a good parts department that you can order online.

Reading through my manual some more, and going to the Messicks site, it looks like there isn't really too much to buy. Looks like the air filters, engine oil/filter, and fuel filter. I thought I had to do the HST fluid too but that's not until another 200 hrs.
The rest seems to be just servicing by me.

The reason I'm doing this now, (it's still about 20 hrs till my 600 hr service) is because my light came on for my air intake, I checked my filter, cleaned it out with compressed air from the inside out (less than 90psi) and the light stayed on still. After running the tractor about 5 mins it went out. It then came back on and stays on when I start the tractor, and goes out once in a while.
I took apart the air intake lines and checked everything over, it all looked clean. Even the air filters don't look bad, but I figured I'd start there.

I keep extra fuel and air filters on hand. I change both out before the manual calls for doing it. Little extra care for the "Life Long" tractor... the truck on the other hand.... come to think about it, I probably need to change it's air filter :p
