Hello TBN friends,
You have helped me in the past. Now I would like to ask for suggestion as to what to look/ask for in an attachment that I can put behind my 2910.
I have a tiller and can prepare the soil but then I want to dig furrows at least 6 inches deep and 6 to 8 inches apart and cover the full width of the tire tracks in one pass.

Is there such a plow?

Thank you for all suggestions.

Happy Father's Day to all you Pops and Grandpops. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

How about removing every odd/even/other row of tines on your tiller?

Look around for an old single row cultivator. They generally have 6 leaf springs with small point shovels. Find some barley corn shovels, and put two on the leaf springs closest to the width you want the rows. Remove the rest. Mine even has multiple holes for the leaf springs.

They use simple middle busters (adjustable) and basically gang them together as many or as few as you want... (say that quick 5 times /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif)

Good morning, John. In my part of the country a lot of folks call that a "bedder" and they "bed" their gardens in the winter while not in use.

Morning John and Bird. Bird, when you say "bed their gardens in the winter" does that mean turning under remaining vegetation? If not what is the advantage digging furrows? Can you tell I haven't done much gardening but it is on my mind. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Mark, I never did that to my garden and I asked some of those who did, why? Answers I got ranged from "I don't know; that's the way my dad did it" to "provides more surface area, holds the moisture in better and lets the moisture get down deeper."

Hi Ken,

I would have posted a cultivator, but he wanted "furrows" as wide as his rear tires... (I never asked why.../forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif)

Perhaps, I misunderstood... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
