Is there more than one Kioti orange?

Was wondering if there is more than one orange for Kioti? I got a can of Kioti touch up with 1401 color number. But its like a brighter orange than my LK3054 is. I sprayed it in two different places and its the same. I made sure that I was not somewhere that it might be faded. The Kioti gray was a perfect match.

All the DK's should have always been the Red Orange. The LK, & LBs's should be the Orange. I think all the newest LK's and LB's should have the new Red Orange not quite sure on when the switch over date was. Now I heard they are going to change the tint one more time. Not quite 100% though. I know out here on the lot it is really had for me to tell the difference between the 2 colors.

There was supposed to be a few shades change around the end of last year related to the Kubota law suit in which they won a trade dress infringement suit. The color change would be difficult to see with the naked eye, but I've seen some of the touch up paints and they're only close, not a match.
Check out the Allis Chalmers orange and see if it's a closer match. Of course, continue to test where it can't be easily seen!
Another thing you can do is to go to a paint store and let them use the scope to match the color. Trailering the tractor would probably be necessary unless you have an exact match on an implement you could take over. John

The tractor is more of a red orange than whats in the can. Seems like its a '01 or '02. If the year would help. Seems Jon or John mentioned once how to tell the year. Like the last 2 digits of the serial number?

first digit in the SN# is the last digit in the year. so if your is 2XXX-XXXXX, then your tractor would be a 2002 model, and more than likely sold in 2003.

Chevorlet engine orange is a perfect match on my CK-20.

It is a 02. The serial # starts with 22. Can't find any paint code stickers. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
