Is this a 6 loop rim?

My old 8N has larger than stock tires on the back. It currently has 12.4x28.

I was looking at Tucker Tire to order a new tire and tube already mounted to a 6 loop rim, but not sure it will fit.

Is this a 6 loop rim? It does not look like others I have seen pics of online.

Not sure of your terminology but the rim shown has eight studs.

Yes a 6 loop would be a replacement rim for the 24" 6 loop to be exact. What is pictured is an original rim from a 8N.

Cool! I thought these might be original (or at least period original) wheels from the 40's-50's. I did not notice the difference between these and the 6 loop rims until I started looking today and was not sure if a new one would fit the centers that I have.

Just found a local tire shop that would replace the tire and tube for $350, so I'll be keeping my originals!

Yep that is a period original "hat" style rim.

If your rims are good though, no point in buying more. Cheaper to just replace tube and tire as you are doing.

as said.. that is a hat rim. hat centers will bolt to 6 loop rims , if needed.

lugnut studs has no bearing on the rim to center attachment. that is a hat rim.. a 28" 6 loop rim will mate to an original hat style center.
