( hey there,
one other thing to keep in mind, safety starts with the operator, namely you!!! I run my 1601 in tight very sloped spaces, sometimes it feels like i'm gonna tip, i know i'm going too fast...
With that said, creeping sideways on a slope sure beats flipping, which sure beats spending *** on something that I may never use.
*disclaimer: I have another yanmar with ROPS. I don't wear the seatbelt-- I don't know why, but it's the last thing I think of... moral of the story is, easy does it, safety thinkin first... -arthr )
I agree with what you've said arthr. I also have this image in my head of me just jumping off the tractor if the worst happens. I'm still in pretty good shape and have cat like reflexes. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif This would probably be my instinct even if I had ROPS as I feel my chances would be better this way. I would probably not wear a seat belt even if I had one, the thought of being "secured" to the seat does not appeal to me. I think the ROPS would be more helpful in saving my tractor then me. If I could just figure a way to kill the engine before she rolls over. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
