I'm new to this site & enjoy all the helpful hints/suggestions. We don't have a tractor/FEL yet but need one. After a lot of looking & comparing I'm thinking the L3430GST w/1 set of remotes along with the the Woods 1012 loader w/quick attach 66" bucket will fit our needs. The local dealer (near Mayfield KY) quoted me their best price for this combination was $19,700 including delivery.

Does this sound like a good price for the combination?

Thanks for any feedback.

Looks about right. July of 2003 I paid $26,300 for a 3430 with cab, hydro, single remote and oversized turf tires. Cab $5000, hydro $1000, turfs $600, net $19,700. However, I got the Kubota 723 FEL with the Bobcat style quick attach. I would highly recommend this factory loader over an aftermarket loader.

With the substantial increase in steel prices in the last year, it looks like the aftermarket loader is what is putting your price at near what I spent in 2003. If you can exchange for the kubota 723 FEL, you will have an excellent price. If it cost you more for the Kubota loader, make the investment.

The dealer was steering me to the Woods loader because he said it would outperform the Kubota version... Does that ring true to you?

The kubota dealer must not have much experience with Kubota loaders. I suspect that he can buy Woods loaders cheaper than the OEM Kubota loader and has it in stock. That's the only reason I could see a Kubota dealer pushing Woods (aftermarket) over the Kubota loader, especially the 723 FEL.

I stand by my recommendation...get the Kubota 723 loader with quick attach.

Hello Twin, just in regards to your loader question, It depends on what your looking for between the 723 and the 1012. The 723 has a lift capacity at the pivot pin of 1870lbs compared to the 1012 having a lift capacity of 1375lbs. Yet comparing the breakout force of each loader, the 723 comes in at 2605 lbs while the 1012 comes in at 3020 lbs... Go the to the woods homepage and the Kubota homepage and check all the rest of your specs.. Hopefully this is of help to you... Matt
