Price Check Is this a good price for JD 870???

I'm thinking about a JD 870 with a loader 225 hours The dealer asking $ 10.6k does this sound like a good deal??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif This will be definate upgrade from my current grey 27 hp tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Yes ! I was very interested in the 870 model when I was shopping for used about two years ago. The best deal I saw was about $12,000 with 440 loader and about 700 hours.

Many folks, especially the dealer, will be quick to point out that a 790 can be had 'new' for about $14,500 with loader. But, I definately prefer the 870. It has a greater hydraulic capacity on the loader and 3pt.

That 870 does seem like a good deal with those low hours. What year is it it could be fairly new like a 1998. Any rate great series the BEST EVER! The 870 will have a bigger body than that of the 790 and it has more horsepower to boot unless you get an older 790 like I had which had the 30 engine horsepower motor and 25 at the PTO. That is also what the 870 has I believe.
