Is this a good price on a B2301?

I just built a new house on 4 sloping acres. Some woods I would like to maintain and keep the scrub brush down between the bigger trees. I have a 450 long driveway that is 1/2 paved and rest gravel. Then about a acre to mow.
I致e got quotes from multiple dealers in my area on a B2301, and there all within a couple hundred dollars to each. The cheapest happens to be the closest to me. So a B2301 with FEL quick 54 bucket, 3rd valve, r14 tires loaded! 60 mmm for $23,000. Cant seem to get any to budge much off msrp other then rebates and 0% for 60 months.
I also got a quote on a MF gc1725m with FEL, 50 front snowblower! 60 mmm, weight box, and 3rd valve for same $23,000, and has 0% for 84 months. I know it痴 a step down to the kubota, but it has the snowblower. Lifting compacity are similar, but doesn稚 have 3 speed tranny or 3 point hitch adjustments like the b2301. Torn on which way to go. Both dealers are within 15 min from me and have good reputation, so I知 sure either dealer would make me happy.

Did you explain your needs to both dealers? I would think the B01 or MF 1700 series may be a better fit, albeit a little more $$.

Looks good to me. Congrats on selecting the B2301. It's what I have in mind when I get ready to change out the JD 2025R (too much hp and too much fuel; only need 18.5).

I wouldn't be afraid of either, but have you actually operated both rigs? Might help you to decide.

Both go well and sure I would be happy with either. I’ve been running heavy equipment for 35+ years, so I’m more on having it a little bigger then needed then being small and wish I went bigger. The b2301 is most likely bigger then needed, and i like the 3 speed and adjustments for the 3ph. But I get more for the buck with the MF. The MF was a little more versatile in tight spots being smaller, but sat higher in the seat feeling a little more trippier. The b2301 was longer and not as versatile and didn’t care for the treadle pedal or what ever that’s called. I’m sure I could get used to it, but felt very odd and tough to get a good feel going backwards using my heel. FEL lifting compacity we’re close, so don’t think either would be disappointing, the 3ph tho goes to the b2301. Both got good engines and reputations with happy customers. So is the b2301 worth the $4000 more is the question.

If you're looking for opinions to help you decide, I would say yes, but it's easy spending your money.
