Gents is this a CAT 1 3-point? The unit (Cultivator?) is 8' wide, and yes,
to big for a BX25 BUT, looks like I could easily cut it down to size, but
will it connect to my BX25 3-point hitch?

You forgot one:

Cat 4 specs.
Top link pin dia = 1 3/4"
Draw pin dia = 2"
Lift arm spacing = 46"

I've seen them on the big Deere and New Holland machines.

Artisan,

Now when you start looking for that Quick Hitch (QH) take your tape measure and check that 26" spacing on the draw pins. Some implements are critical on that measurement like one of mine. I didn't. Bought a Harbor Frieght one on sale for $85. It was 1/2" too wide. There is a long story on this I posted on some other thread a while back. Short version: I ground 1/4" off each side of bottom hooks, bored out the tractor side bottom pin holes to 7/8" and installed proper pins, Cut the top link hook off the block and welded in a 3/4" spacer, bought all the pins and bushings needed to make it functional. I now have a $400 QH for $200. If someone is interested in the gory details ask and I will repeat. Moral: If you are not handy doing all this stuff pay the $400+ and get a name brand QH.

PS, the bushings and pins are where most of the extra money went. The name brands comes with those.

Yea....a QH I see is gonna be in order... I had surgery Friday for a double torn maniscus, right knee, so the new BXBeast sits, cooling it's heels... Jobs are piling up, I had to say no for the first time due to knee issues, to two people last week, were on the mend now though. They gave me the Michael Jackson Propohol knockUout stuff. No wonder he was a loon...when you wake up from that crap your dazed and confused.

I guess it is necessary in order to pull THIS;

HA! That'ill slow em down a notch!

WOW! I wonder what that weighs.

I was looking at something else online and came across a 20 foot wide, flex-wing mower that Deere builds and was astounded to see it weighs over 7,000 pounds. That's another attachment that's gonna take a big, hefty hitch.

And, I missed one category also. I just found that there is a Cat-5 hitch on the Deere 9000 series.

Cat 5 specs.
Top link pin dia = 2 1/4"
Draw pin dia = 2.75"
Lift arm spacing = I couldn't find the dimension for this.

At this size, you must need a chain fall, crane, or another loader or BH to connect equipment to these hitches. We should probably keep this complete hitch category list onl this site somewhere so that anyone can look it up. Or it could be placed into a small article.

We learn something (maybe several things for dummies like me) every day!
