I have a John Deere Z710A zero turn mower that I purchased new from the dealer a year and a half ago. Several months ago I received a package with a valve and a few other parts, along with instructions how to remove the fender and old parts and install these new pieces and put it back together, that will make my mower safer and not leak fuel in the event of a roll over. If it was a car, it would be called a recall, and would be returned to the dealer for service. Is this the way all tractor manufactures work (I have several Kubota tractors and have never had a recall issue) to save them money or is this just a John Deere money saving idea. I feel as if I paid enough for the mower that this shouldn't be my problem to install, but maybe I don't know how tractor dealers work. I have felt the dealership has been fair with me in any business I have done with them, and this isn't something they sent me. It was from "corporate" John Deere.
