I don't have my tractor yet hopefully picking up next weekend.

Kubota l2501

Quick attach/skid steer style front end loader.

I want to put something in the hole opening of my grapple to keep the branches and s*** out of my grill and radiator.

Is there going to be an issue using 7 mm screws all the way around the perimeter of this thing to attach with the way the thing is supposed to mount?

Maybe I just need to screw it on the sides, screw it in the middle and leave what I'm assuming is where arms attach left alone top and bottom?

Maybe there isn't even room for any type of screw on the sides?

Maybe rivets would be better?

Don't know any clearances yet and having the correct tools in the woods isn't easy so trying to get this set up now

The QA on the tractor is a flat plate. Any screw heads protruding will prevent your QA from seating properly and latching. If you countersink and use CS screws flush with the inside it will work.

Personally Id tack weld the plate on and test fit you can still hook on and latch it, then stitch weld the plate. Lot less work than drilling and tapping. 7mm screws are a little light and might pop/break on you in service.

Regarding the branches Id suggest making a radiator guard because itç—´ the branches you dont grab that end up putting a hole in your grill.

Thanks, what is QA? I went down to a local dealer today and got an idea of spacing and a better idea of how it attaches.

Im gonna get to the grill guard as well

3PH, Three Point Hitch,
FEL, Front End Loader.
SSQA, Skid Steer Quick Attach.
HST, Hydrostatic Transmission.
PHD, Post Hold Digger.
PTO, Power Take Off.
MMM, Mid Mount Mower
QH, Quick Hitch

These are what I have learned.... IT probably goes on forever....

Use 3/4" 9 ga expanded flattened steel, not a solid sheet. You won't be able to see what you are doing with sheet metal... The expanded is a very common size and should be welded on such that it won't impact the QA mounts.

I may end up doing that if it becomes an issue which I'm guessing it's gonna. Thanks for the tip
