Buying Advice Is this seem like a reasonable Price on a NorTrac xt20

I don’t know if anyone will even see this in time but I’m going to look at a xt20 with fel in the morning. Supposedly it’s a 2010 has less than 100 hrs. new battery and manuals. It looks like it is in very good shape seller says it’s like new always stored inside. Asking $6500 buts says negotiable. Does this seem reasonable I have not seen any of these Chinese tractors for sale in my area since I’ve been looking. I’m not using it for serious work just playing around on my 5 acres. I also know my way around a wrench.

That model of Nortrac is a Foton, you will need to get any parts from Northern also. The Koyker 140 Loader has a value of around $ 4,000.00 by itself so that should help you with your decision , I think its a little newer than 2010 maybe not

So the only source of parts is Northern? I was hoping anyplace that sold foton parts would be able to get them. I did go look at it and Tommy you are right the loader is nice and the best part of the tractor. It is a standard shift with high and low. The ignition does not work the guy started it by jumping the terminals on the solenoid. Which it did start right up. The tach supposedly just stopped working says it had 57 hrs. My biggest concern is the 4x4 lever is extremely hard to engage/disengage and also every grease fitting seemed pretty dry. Guy selling it is second owner and bought it from a dealership that took it on trade.

I understand that the electronics are an issue on these units. Foton is a big Chinese supplier and you should be able to source parts is needed. The 4x4 lever is probably just a lubrication issue just make sure it will engage before making an offer. I would be concerened with dry grease fittings.

The Newer Foton we cannot get parts for , Northern has a deal with Foton. We have Foton parts for the older tractors, but we cannot get them for the newer ones.Key switch should be universal , and a clutch safety switch which is prob. the problem with starting with the key, we would have most of those parts, but any drive train stuff is where you would have to go to them.With the value of the Koyker loader I don't see where you could go wrong Offer him $ 5,000.00 and you could always go up a little

Called nortrac (very helpful and honest) but it seems like they and a place in Iowa (sundown) are the only ones that can get parts for these which is a little concerning. Seems like would be better if it were an older jinma made tractor.
