KUBOTA Super UDT-2
For an enhanced ownership experience, we highly recommend Super UDT-2 to be used instead of standard
hydraulic/transmission fluid.
Super UDT-2 is a proprietary KUBOTA formulation that delivers superior performance and protection in all
operating conditions.
Regular UDT is also permitted for use in this machine.

On the one hand it is only every 400 hours....on the other hand, STHIL is selling $38gal gas......
Any concerns about using these products? Most say compatable with SUDT-2

If there was some science to back it up, you could then do a cost analysis to determine your return on investment.

Many years ago Kubota published information showing cold start warm up information on SUDT2. The CUTs have suction filters and UDT at cold temps has a more difficult time passing through the suction filter and the starvation will cause noise and wear. Owners on this site have talked about the noticeable difference. Enhanced ownership experience is quite nebulous isn’t it. Saying if you don’t want your tractor to spit it’s guts on the ground if you use in below freezing temperatures you really hadda otta use this more expensive juice would be proper.

I listened to the hype, and also what other people have said about a quieter machine, I have already bought SUDT2 for my 200hr on my rtv-x900, even though the parts guy behind the counter said I didn't need it. Will use on my L2501 when the time comes.

I used to own a Kubota 'B' B3300SU tractor-loader package with HST.

On that machine with standard hydraulic fluid there was a loud, objectionable whine from the HST.

With SUDT2 the whine was still there but no longer objectionable.

I use SUDT2 in my current Kubota L3560 HST+. The L3560 is much quieter that the B3300SU but the SUDT2 makes it quieter still.

I listened to the “hype” or more precisely the feedback from other owners here and changed from dealer fill to SUDT2 at 50 hours. Been very happy with it. Seems to quiet the HST a bit and better cold weather performance. It’s expensive but worthwhile IMHO.
