I pulled the blades off my mower today to sharpen them. When I put them back on the same way I took them off I put noticed that the blade tips were lower than the deck skirt. It doesn't make sense to me that they would be like that and it doesn't make sense that the washers would go on the other side. The washers in question are like 3/8 thick and there's already 2 washers on the other side.

The blades on my Hustler XR7 deck also sit about a 1/2" below the deck lip in the front.

Not sure about the washers but doesn't look wrong to me, can you pull up a parts diagram?
