One thing I've noticed in photos of their Japan-market loaders, the bucket is farther forward than an American-design loader. I'm not sure why. I've read the principal use of these tractors in Japan is rice tilling and dairy use. Maybe a loader in dairy use is different from the earth/gravel loads a US loader is designed for?

A bucket heaped with **** versus one full of dirt, heck yeah keep it further away!

All kidding aside the tractor posted on page one is a good looking machine.

I would submit that Yanmar is a more recognized brand worldwide then JD. HS

I wish Yanmar would put dealers in California. 90% (??) of fruits and vegetables for the US are grown here, a big percentage of worldwide almond, winegrape crops etc - and Yanmar's specialty vineyard crawlers are the only ag product available.

The nearest Yanmar ag dealer is 700 miles north of the main growing region in the Central Valley - then another hundred miles to me over by the coast. It's a similar distance to the next nearest dealer - in Salt Lake City.

Mailorder from Hoye in Texas is the main support for my US Yanmar. Luckily over 10 years use on an early 80's tractor I haven't needed anything from there beyond small stuff, an ignition switch for example.
