So this 1547 im sure has the original
2008 glowplugs still in it. I have soaked them with pb blaster,pl100, diesel fuel, tried wax trick and done heat cycles with a small hand held torch over 48 hrs. These things are welded.
About 1mm of scaly rust has come
Off since the soaking started.
Tried a pneumatic bolt breaker with a hammer and nada.
Next step is bigger torchs and trying a pneumatic bolt breaker on a air gun.
I read atf dextron and kerosene mixed 50/50 is good stuff. Going to try this too.
Anyone have any miracle procedure? Lol
One step away from pulling the head. Really would like to avoid this.
As im sure new headgasket, resurfacing the head, new head bolts as im sure they must be stretch bolts. Be $1000 up here in the rust belt.
Amazing how the tractor is built around the fuel tank it seems lol
