Iseki hydraulics

After running my 1978 Iseki G174 the hydraulic/transmission fluid seeps out where you check the fluid by the gear shifter. I changed the fluid and cleaned the strainer. Does anyone know what may cause this.

It may be that you over filled a little and it's coming around the rubber on the stick. The rubber seal could be dry rotter and allowing fluid to come thru while operating.
