Iseki TL 2501
Just got this machine. I think it is a TL2501 four wheel unit. Thought the best thing to do was change fluids contacted Len12 and got the info and filters I needed. Anyway I drained the hydraulic fluid cleaned the filter and put in universal tran/hydra fluid. Started it up and none of the hydralic attachments work period. Someone suggested to crack the filter to let air out--- nothing. Another suggested to lift the 3 pt hitch arms a few times- nothing. For some reason the pump is not pumping. Everything was working perfectly before changing the fluid. I need help from someone as to what should I do next. Groverone

Sorry to hear that, thats a tough situation. It sounds to me like you hydraulic pump is bad, or that it is clogged. I found this site that may help, but I am not sure if there is a way to remove the pump, and clean it internally.. You may have to find a new or used pump. THis is the link. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help! I'll keep an eye out for a used or new pump, but hopefully there is an easier and less expensive fix..

Thanks for the site. I am going to try and crack the discharge side . Then try and put a very small air pressure to reservoir to see if that won't get some fluid into the pump. I still believe that the pump has lost the prime. I am not a mechanic more of a tinker type. Anyway if it stops raining I will give it another go.

Success I found out I have two hydraulic pumps on my tractor one does the loader and the other the p. steering and 3 pt. to prime the pump or get it pumping I cracked the main line going into the controles for the loader and then one of the out pipes from the loader and bingo it worked. Thanks to you J.J. And Len I am back in business.....

G'day, I have one of these "rare" models as well and had similar issues finding correct oils etc. The rear axle/hyds actually call for a 90w oil (which is what it had in it) and even in our warm climate here in central Australia it was cavitating the pump. I too changed to a universal oil and all was fine after that ! It does appear to aerate a little but works fine. I had to reseal all the loader cylinders, which was easy to do, it now holds a load in bucket fine.
I had some issue working out how to fill the front axle properly, it seems the axle is drained from the left had drop gear set. As it takes more to fill that side.
Great little tractor and quite powerful, even better when you fill rear tyres with water for stability ! Does yours have the super crawler gears ?
Regards
Dick
