Need your help people. This is going to be a tad lengthly but should be laid out so you know all you need to know to help.
First off this is my first tractor ever. I am pretty good on maintenece of equipment but this being my first diesel I made a mistake and think I have fuel system issues.
Tractor ran out of fuel and had to pull it back to the house to get fueled and bleed to start up. It could not after lots of efforts.
Looked things over and the fuel filter was horrible. The bowel was not much better. I ended up getting a complete fuel assembly (filter, bowl, petcock, etc) and installed on tractor. Performed the bleeding and got the tractor running and not any problems.
About a week later mother reports the tractor will only run for less than a minute? Change filter again just to make sure it did not pick up trash in the whole process?
After bleeding the system from point to point I can get it to a point of what I think is the injector pump? This part is the last device before it pipes out to the head which I believe are injector lines and that would make that the injector pump. I can not get anything out of here which I would assume would be the problem.
Is there any way I can see if this is clogged, broken, or just plain jacked up? After talking to a repair shop he said they used 2 different types of injector pump? One is a rotatry and cant remember the other? He said they can be rebuilt which would be cheaper that new as always?
Is this a common thing? Any help would be appreciate. I can get pictures of what I am talking about if necessarty?
Thank you in advance
