If you have no existing spool valves installed and only the 3 Pt then I can tell you how I did my Yanmar FX24d. I cut a short section out of the high pressure line. I then installed a compression fitting on the two remaining ends. From there I attached a line from the cut line closest to the hydraulic pump. Ran it to the input port of the spool valve. Then I ran a line from the return port to the other end of the cut line. That leaves two work ports, out and in, to the device you are adding on a single spool valve.
Cutting the high pressure line is not hard. Just use a plumbers cutter. My compression fittings never leaked.
Measure the outside diameter size of the pressure hose to get the appropriate compression fittings. Then match the pressure fittings size to the hose fittings needed for the new in and out lines to the spool valve.
DO NOT JUST TEE THOSE LINES! The flow needs to be interrupted and re-routed to the new spool valve and then back to the cut circuit.
