Is this a scam? Iseki TS3110 burned up wiring near starter motor

My wiring near the starter motor burned up and took the battery with it. I have rejoined all of the wires but I am having trouble remembering where by the starter that the plus cable from battery connects to. Also how do I test the starter? I have a parts manual and an owners manual but have not been able to fiind a repair manual for the TS3110. It was a great tractor and I will definitely need it operating before the summer.

connect positive wire to top terminal on starter. To test the starter. connect a wire from top terminal to small terminal. I can supply a repair manuals
