I actually have firewood stacked, diesel fuel ready to go, generators ready, and the tractor up from the field near the driveway. I have beer in the fridge, food in the freezer, and all the kids are home.

Dang..... the only thing I forgot was to swap the rake out for the backblade...... oh well.....

Glad I am home and not on the roads, it looks frightful

Have fun playing in the fresh snow. Just think in some countries they do not even understand the concept of whiteouts and wind chill.

NOVA. huh? Forty four years in the burbs of DC and how well I remember the nightmare that is I-95. Can't remember the year but stuck in Crystal City trying to get onto an exit to head south on 95. Seven hours later . . . we made it home. Retired now and moved 7 years ago out in the middle of nowhere near Sperryville. Last year's storm was murder but this year I am ready - during a half hour of no precip this morn, I rolled the generator down under the deck and it's hooked up to transfer switch and ready to go but I'd still rather keep power. I'd not go out this late to start it up - I'd wait till morning and use it more during the daytime hours. I'd read by lanterns instead tonight.

It was 73 degrees yesterday at Brookings, on the Southern Oregon coast. They are calling it Juneuary. I just thought I would rub it in. :)

Potential for something else to roll thru Tuesday/Wednesday. Enough already, I'm tired of this - don't know how those of you in parts north of here (VA) that get a lot of this deal with it.
