Snow Attachments It seems like a good year for snow blowers

/ It seems like a good year for snow blowers #11
I use the bucket to clear the paddocks and a path out to manure pile, and this year I've done so much damage because of all the snow I'm going to get a blower. Between snagging electric fence wires, digging up the limestone and pushing against fence posts and gates, I could have paid for a blower. I'm getting one before next year. We had a boat load of snow this year, already more than we usually get all year. Probably not much by Canada standards, but we're not geared up for this.

I have a rear mounted wood SS-60 and keep my FEL on during the winter. If I would have had the money back then I would have purchased the front mounted blower, but I felt I wanted to have the FEL and didn't want to be outside switching from loader to snowblower.

Bottom line is if you have the money go for the front mounted blower, it is certianly the way to go.

Well, put me down in the blower on the back so I can keep using the FEL category. I use the loader almost as often as I do the snow blower. For digging out around the mail box, the oil fill pipes, moving the snow banks beside the front entrance, clearing the driveway when there is only 1" - 2" of snow, etc.

I had a similar setup on my last tractor and when I got the new one, there was no doubt in my mind that this was my preferred setup.

A couple of my neighbors (including Dyer, retired) have snow blowers on the front and seem to like them a lot, but they both seem to go through a lot of shear pins. Then again, they also have those funny *orange* tractors too.

This winter convinced me to buy a snow blower. I will be looking for one for next season, unless I can find a decent used one here in northwester Pennsylvania this season.

I have a Kubota 27 horse. The width at the rear wheels is about 54 inches.

What width snowblower would you suggest I buy?
