Wham!!! All of your efforts for the night are gone and you are back to square one.
How many times does this scenario play out, or am I the only one who always needs to do "just one more thing"?

Of course you're not the only one. It's a mental fatigue thing / combined with physical fatigue, depending on what you've been doing.

Just the other week I'd mowed the front area on the D110, say about 1.5 acres and the grass was 7-8" high. It took a couple of hours in afternoon 22c temperatures. At the very end I decided to mow an area that I bloody well knew had a ground watering hose and two power extension cords. Of course I'd be careful and spotted the hose... then promptly ran over/cut both of the extension cords. :duh:

Hey, I was tired.

I have gotten to the point, to where if I *think* I am tired, I stop activities. Mental weariness, and you make bad mistakes or have poor judgement. No matter the position of the sun. LOL.

 I do! I made a trip into town and bought a couple of heavy duty, male, plugs to repair the majority of the cords.

Silver lining way of looking at the situation.

Every silver lining has a dark cloud at my place.

I mow a half acre pasture with my riding mower. Forgot I had a 100' garden hose out there. I didn't like that hose anyhow. It was dusk and I just had a bit more to do to finish. I finished alright - two foot chunks of garden hose flying everywhere. At least, nothing wrapped up in the blades.

How about when you're bush hogging and suddenly notice the weeds jiggling around in front of you, then the noise from the bush hog tells you that you just found that 300 foot length of electric fence wire you'd planned on retrieving last fall?

Well, I retrieved it, but is wasn't much use to me after that and it just gave me another job for the next day.

Trying to get the 1st. 8 hours in by Noon lunch time .then a short nap and know the 2nd 8hrs. something totally unplanned happens to you ,tractor or what ever your doing.
Yesterday using my tractor JD 4520 digging corner post holes to repair fence. I have a old Ottawa brand post hole machine and it striped gears inside the box. Have not seen a parts description for this brand in years.
So today going to spend more for a post hole digger than fence cost. 1/2 of day lost just because digging hole knowing that there were rocks in hole to big to remove with digger.

How did the bushhog fare? Wire and rope sometimes works up inside bearings will really do some damage... and don't ask me how I know that.
