The grapple was $339 and $81 for shipping. Greens Machine had it to me in 2days. Great service and good people to talk with.

The Thumb

It's hard to tell in the pictures, but I also added a 4"x60"- 1/4" piece of plate to the top of the bucket and a 2"x2"- 1/4" angle on the bottom side. It shouldn't flex now! I made two passes on the front side of the bucket, then ground it down to a nice rolled profile. This was an additional $65.

I'm still waiting on my hoses and fittings from Burden Surplus Center, and they were another $187.

So, for right at $675 I'm ready to go.

Thanks, I gotta get some hooks for my bucket.

Me too! I like those hooks. Grapple is awesome too but not sure if I would use it much.

Great buy. You did well, you did. :D

As an owner of both the 3520 cab tractor AND the Green Machine Thumb, I will tell you it's a very handy setup. How are you setting up the hydraulics? I used the kit from JD and mounted a bracket from the driverter kit so I could use a set of jumpers to power the grapple from the 3rd SVC with out having to rum long hoses that could catch on things under the tractor.

I just installed all the plumbing last night. I ran hoses from the 3rd SCV up to the bucket. I put quick couplers at the bucket and at the same point as the loader connections. This way I can remove the grapple only if needed, and unhook quickly when I remove the loader. I took my time and routed everything carefully and put ty-wraps every 6".

The great thing about this forum is that you know there are other folks out there who are nuts about their tractors. I wash and maintain my tractors more than my truck I guess because I am so happy so have these back saving beasts.

Congrats on your purchase. You will enjoy.
