This thread was headed to Cuba to begin with! We've now made stops in Cairo, Seoul, Libya, Zaire, Oslo Hong Kong and seem to be headed towards San Salvador. You just never know how to pack for these trips!

Last time I went on a trip without knowing how to pack I ended up spending 14 weeks in Cambodia. Enjoyed about 70% of the deployment, but my arctic gear got all moldy...

Whew, I had not read any of this thread until today. But I just now read all of it and, in my opinion, it's gotten far too personal as well as drifting completely away from the original topic. Besides that, it's too long and took too much time to read all of it, so I think it's time to end it.
