Took the MMM off yesterday so I could put the 3ph snowblower and cab on. Nezt morning noticed a puddle of hydraulic fluid on floor under the DL100 4 Quick Disconnect Couplers.

Took DL100 off and cleaned the male and female ends and made sure connections were tight on the threaded ends.

Seemed fine until it sat for 5 hours and found the one coupler leaking badly still.

I am going to the dealer tomorrow to get a male and female end replacement but can I replace this without removing the loader? Probably not..will it leak alot of hydraulic fluid out once I take the ends off?

On an FYI note, this particular hose is up against the engine hood all the time and I think the 14 years of vibration prematurily wore it out.

collapse all cylinders (put front tires on wheel ramps if needed, and will be very little pressure. had to mess with my red fitting soon after getting mine, had just loosened after time so no $$ involved at least. lost very little fluid when removing/cleaning/reattach.

edit: I did mine w/o pulling fel off since it was hose end that needed attn. if I needed to work the tractor end I would have pulled fel.

All fixed, hopefully ready for the winter now.

I just noticed my red fitting again less than 1/8 inch from hood. maybe I'll just dent the hood :)
darn you for making me look :)

Had to replace them on our 1705 a few times. I just turned the engine off, work the controls to release pressure, then unhook the loader.

Always gonna get some residual leakage but no cause for a drip pan. Probably could get away with just replacing the o-rings vs the whole fitting. Usually they go bad much faster than the actual connection

I went to Massey Dealer and had to put it on order...said it would take two weeks. Went to John Deer United, the threads were too loose for what the had
Tried Kubota, Kioti, Branson...none had the one I need.

John Deer United was the only one helpfull enough to recommend Omni Hydraulics Hose and Fittings in Auburn Maine. They have everything I need and now I have a new go to place.

Had residual leak since new but it got so bad it just dripped out leaving a puddle on the concrete overnight.

smacked the right side of lower hood with palm and suddenly gained lot of clearance :)
must have distorted a bit when sitting on lawn for almost 5 weeks during steering cylinder fiasco.
never underestimate the benefit of a good smack.
