Just goes to show we all can get along.

Unless you're allergic to bees and have a fear of birds.

First thing..wicket photo. Second thing is we get humming birds here in eastern Canada. We put feeders out and watch them. They are scared of wasps generally. This is a very cool picture which our world leaders should go to school on. Get along.

Around here the yellow jackets/hornets/wasps and humming birds do not mix well. The stinging creatures must get something from the feeder. Maybe on a really hot afternoon the sugar solution will rise up so they can feed from the fake flowers around the feeder.

If the hummers are really hungry they will drive off the stinging creatures - but it's always a running engagement.

That is an amazing picture. Something I would never see around here.

Speaking of pictures, I just now remembered some I took in 2004:

And the "shadow" pictures:

Love the pics, we don't have humming birds but we do get wasps/hornets etc and some big nasty ants.

I'll throw carpenter bees in on the list on no co-existence. The carpenter bees, unfortunately, seem to run off the hummers. So, it's always a battle between me and the carpenter bees. I love the hummers.

Proof God did create a perfect world. Thanks for sharing...
I agree and He loved us enough to gives us our own free will and I am afraid the world misused that benefit. It is awesome that you pointed this out and gave credit where credit is do. It's nice to read something positive inside. Maybe that's why I come here instead of watching the news.

Great pic. Not that it is a unique moment in nature. More that someone was able to catch it in such clarity.

Think about it guys. Humming birds and Honey Bees are constant companions at feeding time.

Ummm. Not sure if they are companions. They do feed at the same feeder but watching them for hours it appears they compete and the hummers seem to have a huge respect if not fear of wasps. .bees maybe not so much

Companions meaning they are around each other all day. It's unavoidable and inevitable since they share the food bowl.
