Its time for a new blue. Which one for me?

well i do haying. I put up 9000 bales this year. My old 55 hp international is ready for retirement soon. Im looking in the 46 to 80pto hp range. that leaves me with too many choices. help me narrow down what i need. I want to pull a baler with a wagon behind it and my mo co will be a sickle and not a disc. this is what i found at NH website. PTO ratings.

TS-A 80 hp
TB 80 hp
TL 69-85 hp
TDD 62-80 hp
TT-A 47-62 hp
TN 45-77 hp
TC55 46 hp

lets narrow down some models here. I like small and lightweight but powerful enough for the job. The less fuel it uses the better. I dont want to use the clutch for shifting and i like little extras and not a basic tractor.

The TC55 would be too small, it's a large compact. The TB, TL, TDD, and TS are flat decks, and all but the TL are fairly large machines. The TDD and TT are basic, older style Fiat tractors, the TN is fairly light and easy to handle. My choice would be one of the TN's, the TN70 (57 PTO) and 75 (62 PTO) are 3 cylinder turbos, the TN85 (69 PTO) is a 4 cyl., and the TN95 (77 PTO) is a 4 cyl. turbo. My vote goes for the TN75 or 85. I like the lower seating position and maneuverability, test drove a TN75 and really liked it. The TN85 is only slightly larger, but if I remember correctly, has slightly less hydraulic capacity than the 75. With these tractors, if you went to a round baler or a disc moco, you would have plenty of tractor to operate them.

I'm guessing since he's pulling a wagon behind the baler it's a square baler.

So you think the Tn is the way to go. the 85 and 95 are bigger units huh? Those other models are bigger then the TN then huh? I will check the specs...... hard to tell there are a-lot of N/a posted so im not sure if its bigger or not but the TN-75 looks like it may be the answer and you can get it with a cab also i see. im not sure if i will go that route or not.

The TN85 and 95 are around 6-8 inches longer, not a large difference, I think a couple hundred pounds heavier as well. I like the TN75 a lot, never driven the TN85, but I wouldn't rule it out.

TN70A with power shuttle requires you to use a clutch to select gears, but the power shuttle lets you go from forward to reverse and back with no clutch use at all. The tractor was used by its previous owner for moving round bales (came with a Bush Hog pallet/bale spear QA).

I am not sure. But you can go to New Holland Tractors, Bush Hog, New Holland Contruction Deals! and email them and ask for a quote. Also, call any NH dealer and then can give you a rough estimate. I bought my TN70A used with 8x8 with a power shuttle, third rear remote, skid plate for fuel tank and FEL and QA HD bucket. They are not "cheap" new, but they are nice
