Went down to Penrose and hauled it home. 3 hours each way! Now I get to work and play!

It's a 2008 with 525 hours. Trying to find out why when I hit the brakes hard, the brake light fuse blows. Anybody know where the brake light switch is?

Check for a brake light wire chafed. it could be that when you add power to the switch, it grounds out and blows the fuse..

Certainly could be that. As for where the brake switch is located up under the dash to the left of the steering column. Looks like the instrument panel would need to be removed to get to it... The "twin relay" section 1 is controlled by the brake switch. the coil looks to have 12 volts standing on it at all times. and the moving contact of the relay goes out to the lamps thru the wiring harness on a .85mm Black yellow wire. it comes in on the non moving contact on a .85mm yellow/green wire. The coil brake switch side is .5mm brown wire. the feed for the coil looks to be just a yellow/green jumper from the main feed to the non moving contact. The Twin Relay is located in the middle operator side of the firewall behind the instrument panel, near that brake switch. I would do some ohm checks after removing the feed wire off of the moving contact of the twin relay. (black yellow wire) and remove the lamps in the brake lights and make sure that wire shows open at all times. OF course it could be dynamic wire chafing. in which case it might be fine some of the time and shorted to the frame some of the time depending on how the tractor moved. good luck

Also diode that is across the coil of the 1 section of the twin relay ( the brake light section) could be bad. The only way to check it would be to unsolder or clip one end, and check the diode and then fasten it back. as it is across a the relay coil and would look nearly shorted all the time anyway due to the probably pretty low resistance of the coil.

Well, I pulled the trigger on a used DK45S cab with a 451 loader, loaded tires, 6' mower and pallet forks. Although Penrose Mfg(Penrose Colorado) is no longer a Kioti dealer, he had a used one come in on consignment. I'm having then put in a second remote. It should be ready to pick up Saturday!

Hey Datop... Belated welcome to being a Kioti owner.
Don't know if there is a Kioti dealer closer to you; there is one in Sterling where I bought mine. It's called Agteck. You can look them up online (Agteck Repair , Colorado, Kioti, Bobcat, Grasshopper, Doosan, Dealer, compact tractors, skidsteers, implements, loaders, excavators, utility vehicles). I know it's a haul for you, but at least it's in state. I've had them send me various things (filter, decals, etc.) after they delivered my tractor (I'm about 2.5 hours from them, one-way). They've been very good with me.
Best to you.
