TYM T293
After researching compact utility tractors for years, my wife and I saved up our pennies and purchased a T293 with a TX2000 FEL in and rear hydraulic remotes in May. I now have about 30 hours on it. The first weekend I used it to load my dump trailer with horse manure that had piled up over the winter. I hauled out 7 loads (~63 cubic yards) those two days. Since then it has been used to scrape out and move topsoil in our one pasture, drag our riding area, take a load of manure out every couple weeks and, with a borrowed 6' box blade, knock down the big hump between the tracks in our driveway.

This tractor is absolutely a "goldilocks" tractor for us! Not too big, not too small - it is just right!!

I wanted to thank everyone who posts on the TYM forums here. Reading your posts over the past couple years helped convince me that the T293 would be the right tractor for our needs. Boy, is it ever!!

Welcome to the family HFEC and enjoy that T293. I agree with you about it being "just" the right size with enough umph! to do whatever you need to get done. Watch the radiator fins though, the tiniest bit of dust easily plugs them up, other than that - just enjoy! Greg

Thanks for the advice, Gregster. I saw some mention of that in other posts so, shortly after getting the tractor, I bought a decent 8 gallon air compressor to blow out the radiator. I'm gonna run out today and pickup a pneumatic grease gun so I can easily grease the thing, too.

Welcome! I also agree on the Goldilocks analogy. The T273 had the right amount of horsepower, features and size for the work I was planning on doing and it just fit the need at the time.

I've never run a pneumatic grease gun but I have an 18v cordless one and two hand pump ones of different sizes and I seem to use the hand pump ones more often than the electric.
