I have a 2005 TX that needs a stearing assembly. Evidently the pinion gears are stripped. JD list the parts price at $585.00 Does anyone have access to aftermarket parts that will fit?

I found a lower priced steering un it from UNISTEER in Ohio a Maval company. Priced there at 299. for OEM part. I am posting this in case someone else needs a steering assembly.

I ordered the part from Unisteer on Sunday evening and it came today. My grandson and I installed it in about 1 hours time. Saved several hundred dollars by using the internet to look for parts that cost a bundle at John Deere dealer.
