Does anybody know where the correct spots are to jack up the back or the front of this tractor? I am getting ready to put on the chains for the winter. Any help appreciated.

Not sure about what the manual says, but I jack up the rear of my 2350 using the hitch plate.

For the front I use the FEL to lift the wheels.

I don't see anywhere in the operator's manual that references the proper jack points. I'm sure you will find a couple of solid spots to suit the jack you have. Just a reminder that the front axle has a pivot point in the center. If you jack up the rear the tractor from the middle of the axle, it could become very unstable. Keeping the FEL on the ground and/or using jack stands would be a good idea before you get down beside your raised tractor and start tugging chains on the wheels. Best of luck with your chains and their use in the stormy months ahead.

When I bought my BX2200, I wanted to be able to quickly change between turf and ag tires. I already had a pair of inexpensive jack stands. I use those under the rear axle. I went to Harbor Freight and on sale at half off I got a little hand lever hydraulic jack and an electric impact wrench. All this allowed me to quick change the tires NASCAR style. I eventually just left ags on and turfs off.

I jack the rear at the hitch plate and slip jack stands under axle, and let the weight back down on the stands to make tractor secure. One quick pump and weight is off them again, pull stands out, turn valve and she's back down. Easy, quick, simple. My old mind fails me at the moment for the front, can't remember whether I jacked it at the frame or on a part of the brace that secures the MMM.

Not trying to be a smart A@@ however why would you want to jack up tractor to put chains on. I have put chains on tractors, skidders and trucks;all I do is lay chains out and drive on them, stopping near the center of chain, than fasten the hooks at the top, drive ahead a few feet and tighten, may have to tighten a couple of times;works for me and safer than jacking up tractor.

I used the hitch plate when I jacked mine up.

Tractors are tricky to jack up. They are not like cars and can become off balance and fall off the jack very easily. If you are just putting on chains. Lay your chains out on a good hard surface. Now place a small 2x4 wooden block on the ground about the center of the chains length. Drive your tractor onto the block and this will get your tires off the ground and enough slack in the chains to install them. Quicker and safer than a jack.

Sincerely, Dirt

The rear chains for my BX2350 have very little slack and there is little room behind the tire to fiddle with hooking the chains. I found it's easier to take the tire off to properly install, center and tighten the chains. The fronts are not a problem after I raise the tires with the FEL.

I also let some air out of the tires to help with getting the chains as tight as possible.

If you can do it this way, then the chains must have extra slack in them. With my last machine, I had to jack it up and let air out of tires to get the hooks to reach.
