Hi all,
I have a 1988 JCB 3CX, black cab, and I've set about getting it working as good as possible. I'm wondering about the thermostart/flame heater/flame thrower plug (found all these names researching online). Anyways, I found a connection had fallen off the back of the altenator, and when the ignition was off I touched the wire to the connection and it sparked, so I connected the two and noticed the thermostart dash light came on in the cab despite the ignition being off, it stayed on for a little bit and eventually knocked itself off and no matter what I do I can't get the light to turn on again except by pressing the test warning lights button under the steering column. Now I was wondering what this means, was the thermostart disconnected, did it work when I reconnected it, why did it light up like that and why won't it light up again? Or something along those lines, any help at all would be appreciated thanks. The thermostart light is the top right light because photo orientated wrong
