JCB dash light question (Transmission Oil Pressure Low)

I'm perplexed..

I have a JCB 1550-B. There is an 'idiot light' on the dash that comes on AFTER the engine stops and I turn the key OFF.

It seems to be the Transmission Oil Pressure indicator.

With the machine running, it runs perfectly fine and there are NO lights on the dash.

Turn it off (and kill key) and this dash light comes on.

It's been a while since I've focused on it but, I think that as long as the key is in the 'on' position, the light is OFF, but when you turn the key off and remove it, the light comes ON....

I have finally just pulled the battery cable to make sure I'm not draining anything with the lights.

Aside from that.... any thoughts to why it's doing this?

Though it works fine and the trans oil is sufficient...I would think killing the key would kill all the lights.

Those normally work by the pressure switch completing the ground, so it should illuminate with it not running, but the light should get it's power only when the switch is in the run position. Has there been any work done around the switch that could have resulted in a wire put on the wrong terminal?

no work done around switch. I've owned machine for around 15 years or so. It never did this before then all the sudden, started this problem (if it is in fact, a problem)

Always found it curious that the key off position turned it on.
