TALKED TO JOHN DEERE DEALER TODAY. JOHN DEERE HAS A PLASTIC SHOE FOR THE SNOW BLOWER- M157831, THAT SELLS FOR $18+ FOR EACH. I AM NOT SURE HOW THEY WILL HOLD UP BUT IF IT SOLVES THE PROBLEM....

Thanks I order the plastic sheet for 20 from amazon. Will cut the sheet and make the running as described..

You had the option to order them all cut to size from the supplier. But if you have the means to slice them up then no issue. Enough for 10 sets should be good for years of fun snowblowing...........!

Made the runners this weekend , cut the plastic on my miter box and then drilled for screws as Genesusie suggested ..Road tested on driveway this weekend and no marks.. Genesusie excellent, i made an extra pair just to have them. Tomorrow we may get 5" of snow in CT, ready to test the new blower and 1025r. Ballast ready to be filled with sand … Unfortunately my cab and heater are not arriving until Jan 1st, guess i will need to rough it for now :>

Blower handled 5" of wet snow today with skidder. Hope I attached picture correctly, 1st time
