I have always had a starter issue with my 1050 since I bought it 4 years ago and I have been jumping the starter to get around it but want to fix it once and for all. Turning the key would sometimes start it and sometimes not ( it would just click ) . Battery was replaced - no difference. Rebuild starter - No difference. I have continuity from the back of the switch pole C to the low voltage terminal on the starter. And the resistance drops to .2 ohms between the C and B ( starter ) poles when I turn the key to START position . but I just get one click when I turn the key . But - if I jump the back of the switch between the C and B poles - the starter jumps to life. So this leads me to suspect the switch even thought the resistance seems ok through it . I have also read posts about a low voltage kit AM107421 that might fix this problem . Can ignition switches read good resistance and then not function properly or will the fix kit work for this issue. Any pointer would be much appreciated.
