Got a buddy who wants to put a grapple on his 1070. I know Deere sells a rear remote kit I'm told is for a backhoe that is the same a PB but I'm wondering if the kit is even really needed as he plans on putting a valve up on the loader frame and would run the hoses straight there instead of the back. Anyone have any real experience doing this? BTW I did find a year old thread covering this but I would like some up to date "yeh I did this and it works" and here how I did it.

I haven't done it on a 1070, but did on my 4110...You can look in JDParts and see where the line connect to, then it's just a matter of getting the right fittings and hoses. If your looking for a detailed list for the 1070, I don't think you find it.

I've been there and even went to the dealer. All they could say was order the kit. I don't think all the pieces in the kit are necessary. Plus I don't have a manual that might show something in detail about the power beyond ports. I'm thinking this an be done with way fewer parts.

It can be...once you identify the ports, then all is needed is two hoses and a valve.
