What is the board at the far end of the sickle mower called. Mime was gone when I bought it. I built one out of osb board but it broke off on the first round. What is it made of and how long should it be. Not the pitman arm.

Swathboard or Grassboard depending on who you talk to. It pulls the grass toward the tractor and clears out a place for the tractor tire to run on the next round and not clog up the sickle. We sell new metal ones. Ken Sweet
