I assume the drive belt is slipping; it just will go up hills. It only has about 65-hours. Have already had to replace the electric clutch for the mower. I assume there is no adjustment in the belt. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Does it pull better when cold, then start losing power when hot? A belt normally slips from the get go, but a tranny on the way out will gradually get weaker as the oil warms and thins.
There is no belt adjustment, as there is a spring that keeps constant tension on the system. But it's a basic thing to check and make sure nothing is binding or hung up with the belt drive. Plus the belt could be damaged. Check the simple stuff first.
Not familiar with the 155C, but will guess it has the infamous tuff torq K46 transaxle. These are known for problems slipping, after they warm up the oil thins out. If you are lucky they are not that difficult to remove and change the oil. There is a great thread on the repair of these.
I am working on a similar problem where the owner said it is losing power for the drive. Turned out to be a bad idler in the driveline. The idler was froze tight, hope that is all it is.
