Have a JD 160 with Kawasaki 12hp. Starts and runs fine. Once it is shut down it will not start. It cranks, has spark, and fuel. Tank is venting properly so no vaporlock. Motor does leak oil out of sump gasket. Could it also be leaking from a blown head gasket? Would this cause it to start only when cold. (This thing won't even start with a shot of starting fluid once warm) Should I do a compression test before starting then after it is warm and won't start? Anyone know what the compression should read?
Thanks
